San Jose Loses Frankfurt

In recent news, Lufthansa is pulling out of San Jose Norman Y Mineta International Airport!!!

This is due to the low demand for flights from San Jose to Frankfurt.

The final flight KSJC-EDDF will be on October 27. Any passengers who are booked from San Jose to Frankfurt after October 27 will be rebooked on flights flying from San Francisco.

This comes not long after they announced they were going to switch planes from the Star Alliance livery to one in Lufthansa colors. This also meant that EDDF-KSJC would be operating with Lufthansa instead of Lufthansa Cityline, like they currently do.

This is really sad as I loved how they would connect the World of Tech with the Heart of Europe. I do hope in the future as San Jose continues to grow, Lufthansa would restore service to Frankfurt.

I saw them on Flightradar24 flying the Airbus A430 and well that’s a bummer. :frowning:
